About the Morristown Gun Club
Open to the public and founded in 1965, the Morristown Gun Club has a long tradition of offering a variety of clay target trap shooting venues for every shooter. The club runs strictly on volunteers and promotes safety awareness through the challenges of trap shooting. “It’s a safe place to advance one’s experience and skill in properly handling firearms” says a long time Board of Directors Member.
Since it’s inception, the club prides itself as having members who are stewards or responsible firearm ownership, hunting ethics and the importance of educating and mentoring youth in meaningful outdoor activities.
New to the sport of clay target shooting? No worries, come out and give it a try. There are plenty of experienced members who are willing to work with you one-on-one to help you become a successful wing shooter. Even if you don’t own a shotgun, though the club does not have firearms for rent, many member are willing to let you try theirs. See the “Event & Leagues” and the “Membership & Rates” for public shooting information and rates.
